Increasing attendance numbers at our event have caused a rise in complaints about dogs and other pet related issues. The Humane Society advises that hot, crowded events where other dogs and food are present can be stressful and may not be beneficial for a dog’s mental or physical state of well-being. Additionally, some children and adults are afraid of dogs and do not like being in such close proximity to them. Leashed dogs can cause problems when event attendees become entangled, and can be especially troubling for the elderly, as well as wheel chair and walker users.
